Ecdysone Workshop 2010
Welcome
We cordially invite all researchers interested in steroid and juvenile hormone action and in hormonal regulation of invertebrate development, growth, reproduction or physiology to attend
the 18th International Ecdysone Workshop
to be held 19-23 July, 2010 in Ceske Budejovice, the Czech Republic.
The goal of the Workshop, besides updating us on advances in traditional ecdysone topics, is to further expand the scope to include interactions among ecdysone, juvenile hormone, insulin and other signaling pathways. Therefore, the meeting should also be attractive for developmental and cell biologists working on Drosophila, Tribolium, and other genetic models.
The Workshop will be hosted by the Biology Center of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Ceske Budejovice (Budweis in German), a city founded in 1265 and producing one of the world's best beers, the genuine Budweiser. Meeting participants will enjoy the rich natural and historical environment of the beautiful South Bohemia and will visit a medieval UNESCO heritage town, Cesky Krumlov.
The meeting registration (220 EUR, half for students) and abstract submission are now open. On-site low-cost accommodation is also available for booking.
Please check this website for updates, and do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
On behalf of the local organizers and the program committee,
Marek Jindra
