Accommodation and food
On-site low-cost accommodation
Rooms in the student dormitory have been reserved for the Workshop.
The dormitory is located half-way between the conference center and the cafeteria where breakfast and lunch will be served, only about 100 meters in either direction (please see map).
The price is cheap and so it the standard, but is it clean, safe, and can be recommended.
Two rooms, each with two separate beds, share a common bathroom with a shower.
You can either share a room with a colleague for 10 EUR per person and night or you may book the entire room, paying double (20 EUR per night).
If nobody shares, the capacity will not accommodate the entire meeting.
Rooms in student dormitories can be booked through the meeting Registration form (to be posted in January 2010).
Other accommodation arrangements must be made by participants individually.
Hotels and pensions
If you want to make your stay in South Bohemia a more pleasant experience, pick a hotel in the historical city center, which is about 20-25 minutes walking or 10 minutes by city bus from the conference site (please see map).
You can easily book accommodation online. The hotel personnel will speak English; restaurant menus are usually also bilingual. July is a tourist season, so book accommodation early.
The town of Ceske Budejovice offers a number of hotels and guesthouses at a reasonable cost.
Hotel Budweis
Newly-built “BUDWEIS” hotel, which was opened in September 2009.
The hotel is situated in the medieval centre of the town of České Budějovice, within walking distance to the main square (1 min), by the Malše river. The place witnessed the most ancient history of the town and belongs to the most beautiful parts of the town of České Budějovice.

Hotel Malý Pivovar

Food
Cost of daily breakfast and lunch at the student cafeteria near the conference site is included in the registration price. There will be several meals to choose from every time, including a vegetarian dish.
For dinner, there are only about three reasonably good restaurants within 10 minutes walking from the conference site. The city center offers quite many very good and fairly priced restaurants (typically 7-10 EUR per meal, 1-2 EUR for a pint of beer).
